Southwestern “Chicken” Strips

minutesThis is a great recipe for a chicken replacement on tacos or plant based quesadillas.
Ingredients
1 pack of Butler Soy Curls
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke or 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
2 1/2 cups hot water
1/2 – 1 whole package of taco seasoning
Directions
- In a large bowl (preferably with a lid) empty the bag of Butler Soy Curls
- In a medium mixing bowl add Better Than Bouillon roasted Garlic or Veggie Base, Apple Cider vinegar, liquid smoke and whisk until thoroughly mixed
- Add your water to the Better Than Bouillon mixture whisk together then pour over your Butler Soy Curls
- Let marinate for 10 minutes with lid on shaking occasionally
- Heat a large pan
- Add Soy Curls and liquid in bottom to your pan
- Dump your taco seasoning on top
- Cook until there is no liquid on bottom or desired texture. These will get closer and closer to chicken strips in texture the less moisture left in them.
